Royal Sand Yacht Club - Sport
The Royal Sand Yacht Club in De Panne is a club for recreational and racing land yacht sailors, set between the dunes and the sea. The beach here is 17 kilometres long and up to 450 metres wide, one of the best in the world for the sport.
What can you expect at the Royal Sand Yacht Club?
- Land yacht school: In a two-hour public lesson you ride with up to ten participants under the guidance of an experienced instructor. Private lessons and multi-day courses are also available. The club provides the land yacht, helmet and sailing suit.
- Groups: Groups of up to 40 people can book an introduction, ideal for team building. Land yachting is possible from age 10 and depends on the tide.
- Food and drink: The bar and terrace are open at weekends and during school holidays, also to non-members.
Practical information
- Clubhouse: The clubhouse has spacious changing rooms, separate showers and a large indoor store for land yachts. The club also hosts races and was host of the 2023 European Championships.
The Royal Sand Yacht Club is the place to race across the beach faster than the wind.
