The Duinpanne visitor centre is located in the heart of the green Calmeynbos in De Panne. It is a pleasant stop for anyone who wants to head into nature, discover more about the coast and dunes, or simply look around at a relaxed pace with children.
What can you expect at the Duinpanne visitor centre?
- Centrally located in the Calmeynbos: Duinpanne is beautifully situated among woodland, dunes and walking paths. This makes it a convenient starting point for a walk in the surrounding area.
- Free tourist information: Inside, you will find leaflets about De Panne, the dunes, walking routes and sights in the wider area. You can also explore the region yourself using the interactive map.
- North Sea aquarium: A real eye-catcher is the North Sea aquarium, where you can see various animals that live in the surf of the North Sea. For extra explanation, you can join an aquarium discovery session.
Natural playground: Outside, children can enjoy an adventurous play area with swings, wobble beams, rolling logs, climbing ropes, monkey bridges and a large bird’s nest.
- For younger and older children: Young children can play quietly, while older children are challenged to reach the large nest via climbing routes and swinging loops.
