Zomerkapel - Church

Between the two world wars, the sea attracted more and more tourists. At the request of summer guests who did not want to go to Oostduinkerke village during the summer, this chapel was built. Hence the name ‘Zomerkapel’ (summer chapel). Like the fishermen's cottages, the chapel is built of whitewashed brick, with a gable roof of red tiles. For many visitors, this intimate church is a place of reflection.
Furthermore Zomerkapel is near the following sights: Strandbad Oostduinkerke (±350 m), Tip-Top (±950 m), Witte Burg (±1,0 km), Witte Burg (±1,0 km) & Plaatsduinen (±1,1 km).
